QUALIFYING INDIVIDUALS – Find one, Be one or Become One
Qualifying Individuals are a big part of the construction industry. There are thousands of legitimate businesses in the construction industry operated by non-tradespersons and national companies who need qualifiers permanently in various trades and states.
Qualifying Individuals and Your Construction Business…
A Qualifying Individual is someone who has taken and passed the exams to become a contractor in any given state or trade.
These individuals either qualify a license of their own, or they are willing to qualify one for you. (A few states issue a license to individuals, not businesses, so it works a little different but the results are the same)
NCLA has worked with tens of thousands of contractors throughout the U.S. and is in the perfect position to find you a temporary or permanent qualifier for your license.
Qualifying Individuals have a responsibility to fulfill to the state. So, you have a responsibility to your qualifying individual.
Qualifying Individuals… You’ve proven your skills; capitalize on your investment today!
If you’re a licensed contractor who is not using your license, or is considering retirement but still need some income, you can become a Qualifying Individual for someone else’s business.
Qualifying Individuals can be legal by acting as a 1099 consultant, or by working full time as an employee. Some qualifiers want to be on the job working, just not responsible for the whole business.
All Qualifiers have responsibilities that differ from state to state. We’ll help you be informed about these requirements. We also have a Qualifying Individual Agreement that protects both parties with specific provisions for acting as a qualifier for the business.
