C-5 LIMITED ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR LICENSE
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to low voltage, alarm or signal work, audio and sound systems, and telephone-interconnect. The voltage of any system is not to exceed forty-eight (48) volts or eight (8) amperes where such work commences at an outlet receptacle or connection previously installed by a person holding the proper electrical license. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or at least six (6) years of equivalent experience and training.
C-6 LIMITED ELECTRICAL JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform only work as defined for C-5 category and only while in the employ of a licensed electrical contractor. The requirements to qualify for this license exam shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or at least four (4) years of equivalent experience and training.
E-1 UNLIMITED ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license shall be permitted to do all electrical work as defined in section 20-330 of the general statutes. The requirements to qualify for this license exam shall be two (2) years as a unlimited licensed journeyperson or at least six (6) years of equivalent experience and training.
E-2 UNLIMITED ELECTRICAL JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license shall be permitted to do all electrical work as defined in section 20-330 of the Connecticut General Statutes, and only while in the employment of a properly licensed contractor. The requirement to qualify for this license exam shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or at least four (4) years of equivalent experience and training.
L-1 ELECTRICAL LINES CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to line construction, including distribution systems, and their allied work, for public and private companies; installation, maintenance and repair of all high-voltage cable splicing and pulling wire for all systems in excess of 2,400 volts; traffic signal and highway lighting installation, maintenance and repair. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or at least six (6) years of equivalent experience and training.
L-2 ELECTRICAL LINES JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to line construction, including distribution systems, and their allied work, for public and private companies; installation, maintenance and repair of all high-voltage cable splicing and pulling wire for all systems in excess of 2,400 volts; traffic signal and highway lighting installation, maintenance and repair, and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or at least four (4) years of equivalent experience and training.
L-5 LIMITED ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to low voltage, alarm or signal work, audio and sound systems. The installation or repair of any telecommunication work is not authorized with the exception of the interface wiring from an alarm system to an existing telephone connection for monitoring purposes. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or at least six (6) years of equivalent experience and training.
L-6 LIMITED ELECTRICAL JOURNEYPERSON

The holder of this license may perform only work limited to telephone-interconnect systems where such work commences at an outlet receptacle or connection previously installed by a person holding the proper electrical license. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be licensed journeyperson or at least six (6) years of equivalent experience and training.
T-2 LIMITED ELECTRICAL JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform only work as defined for the T-1 category and only while in the employ of a licensed electrical contractor. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or at least four (4) years of equivalent experience and training or five (5) years as a registered public service technician.
LICENSE TYPES:
FG-1 – (Unlimited Contractor’s license for Flat Glass Work)
An Unlimited Contractor’s License for flat glass work may be issued to any person who has served as a Journeyman in the Flat Glass Work trade for not less than two years.
The holder of this license may perform the installation, maintenance, or repair of glass in residential or commercial structures.
FG-2 – (Unlimited Journeyman’s License for Flat Glass Work)
An Unlimited Journeyman’s License may be issued to any person who has completed a bona fide apprenticeship program, including not less than three years’ experience in the Flat Glass Work trade and has demonstrated such person’s competency to perform all services included in this trade by successfully completing the applicable state licensure examination.
Heating, Piping and Cooling License Types and Scope of Work:
B-1 LIMITED GAS AND OIL BURNER CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work of installing, servicing and repairing of gas or oil burners for domestic and light commercial installations. A domestic or light commercial burner shall be considered as one consuming five gallons or less per hour. The requirements to qualify for this exam shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
B-2 LIMITED GAS AND OIL BURNER JOURNEY PERSON
The holder of this license may perform only work of installing, servicing and repairing of gas or oil for domestic and light commercial installations as so defined above and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. The requirements to qualify for the license examination shall be completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
B-3 LIMITED GAS AND OIL BURNER CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform the installation, servicing and repairing of any gas or oil fired burners. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
B-4 LIMITED GAS AND OIL BURNER JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform the installation, servicing and repairing of any gas or oil fired burner and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
D-1 LIMITED WARM AIR, AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, maintenance or alteration of any warm air, air conditioning and refrigeration system, including necessary piping for the conveyance of heating or cooling media and associated pumping equipment. This license does not including the installation or servicing of oil burners of any size. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
D-2 LIMITED WARM AIR, AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, maintenance or alteration of any warm air, air conditioning and refrigeration system, including necessary piping for the conveyance of heating or cooling media and associated pumping equipment, and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. This license does not including the installation or servicing of oil burners of any size. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
D-3 LIMITED COOLING CONTRACTOR LICENSE
The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, maintenance or alteration of all refrigeration systems included in food storage, air conditioning, or special process systems. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
D-4 LIMITED COOLING JOURNEYPERSON LICENSE
The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, maintenance or alteration of all refrigeration systems included in food storage, air conditioning, or special process systems, and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
G-1 LIMITED HEATING, PIPING, AND COOLING CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, alteration, and maintenance of gas piping systems and approved gas appliances, gas utilization equipment and accessories for use with LP gas supplied by gas containers and/or natural gas. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
G-2 LIMITED HEATING, PIPING, AND COOLING JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, alteration, and maintenance of gas piping systems and approved gas appliances, gas utilization equipment and accessories for use with LP gas supplied by gas containers and/or natural gas, and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. S-2 UNLIMITED HEATING, PIPING, AND COOLING JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may do all heating, piping and cooling work as so defined only while in the employ of a licensed contractor. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
S-3 LIMITED HEATING, COOLING AND PIPING CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, maintenance or alteration of any apparatus of piping, appliances, devices or accessories for heating systems, boilers, including apparatus and piping for the generation or conveyance of steam and associated pumping equipment and oil burner installation and servicing (excluding sheet metal work, air conditioning and refrigeration systems). This license also covers the installation of hot, chilled and condenser water, as well as steam piping in air conditioning systems. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
S-4 LIMITED HEATING, COOLING, AND PIPING (JOURNEYPERSON)
The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, maintenance or alteration of any apparatus for piping, appliances, devices or accessories for heating systems, boilers, including apparatus and piping for the generation or conveyance of steam and associated pumping equipment and oil burner installation and servicing (excluding sheet metal work, air conditioning and refrigeration systems) and only while ill the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. This license also covers the installation of hot, chilled and condenser water, as well as steam piping-in air conditioning systems. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
S-5 LIMITED HEATING, HOT WATER, AND STEAM CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to hot water or steam heating systems for buildings not over three stories high with total heating load not exceeding 500,000 BTU’s and steam pressure not exceeding 15 pounds, but does not cover the installation or servicing of oil burners of any size.
S-6 LIMITED HEATING, HOT WATER, AND STEAM (JOURNEYPERSON)
The holder of this license may perform the following work, but only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. The holder of this license may perform only work limited to hot water or steam heating systems for buildings not over three stories high with total heating load not exceeding 500,000 BTU’s and steam pressure not exceeding 15 pounds, but does not cover the installation or servicing of oil burners of any size.
S-7 LIMITED CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to hot water or steam heating systems for buildings not over three stories high with a total heating load not exceeding 500,000 BTU’s and steam pressure not exceeding fifteen pounds. This license also covers the servicing and installation of oil burners handling up to five gallons per hour, as well as gas burners and gas piping for the work covered by this license. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
S-8 LIMITED JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to hot water or steam heating systems for buildings not over three stories high with a total heating load not exceeding 500,000 BTU’s and steam pressure not exceeding fifteen pounds and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. Also covered by this license is the servicing and installation of oil burners handling up to five gallons per hour, as well as gas burners and gas piping for work covered by this license. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
S-9 LIMITED HEATING COOLING CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to hot water or steam heating systems for buildings not over three stories high with total heating load not exceeding 500,000 BTU’s, steam pressure not exceeding fifteen pounds, and/or cooling installations up to 35 tons per systems. This license also covers the installation or servicing of oil burners handling up to five gallons per hour as well as LP gas supplied by gas containers and/or natural gas piping for work covered by this limited license. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
S-10 LIMITED HEATING COOLING JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform work only while in the employ of a licensed contractor and only limited to hot water or steam heating systems for buildings not over three stories high with total heating load not exceeding 500,000 BTU’s, steam pressure not exceeding fifteen pounds, and/or cooling installations up to 35 tons per systems. This license also covers the installation or servicing of oil burners handling up to five gallons per hour as well as LP gas supplied by gas containers and/or natural gas piping for work covered by this limited license. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
Sheet Metal Licenses and Scope of Work:
SM-1 LIMITED SHEET METAL CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to the installation, erection, replacement, repair or alteration of any duct work system, both ferrous and nonferrous for ductwork systems of any size an type, excluding pneumatic conveyance systems which are covered under sections 20-332- 5(a), (b), (c), and (d) of these regulations. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
SM-2 LIMITED SHEET METAL JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to the installation, erection, replacement, repair or alteration of any duct work system, both ferrous and nonferrous for ductwork systems of any size any type, excluding pneumatic conveyance systems which are covered under sections 20-332- 5(a), (b), (c), and (d) of these regulations. The holder of this license may perform such work only while in the employ of a contractor license for such work. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
SM-3 LIMITED SHEET METAL RESIDENTIAL/LIGHT COMMERCIAL CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to the installation, erection, replacement, repair or alteration of ductwork system, both ferrous and nonferrous for ductwork systems used within a light commercial or residential building. Light commercial and residential is a building with single air handling units not to exceed 35 tons of cooling, or fans or blowers not exceeding 14,000 cubic feet per minute (volume), excluding pneumatic conveyance systems which are covered under sections 20-332-5(a)(b)(c) and (d) of the regulations of Connecticut State agencies. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
SM-6 LIMITED SHEET METAL JOURNEYPERSON HOOD SYSTEMS
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to the installation, erection, replacement, repair or alteration of ductwork system, both ferrous and nonferrous for hood ductwork systems of any size and type limited to and as it pertains to the proscribed code standards, excluding pneumatic conveyance systems which are covered under sections 20-332-5(a)(b)(c) and (d) of the regulations of Connecticut State Agencies. The holder of this license may perform such work only while in the employ of a contractor license for such work. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
Heart Product License Types and Scope of Work:
HPG-1 CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to “Hearth product work” means the installation, service or repair of a propane or natural gas fired fireplace, fireplace insert, stove or log set and associated venting and piping that simulates a flame of a solid fuel fire. “Gas hearth product work” does not include (A) fuel piping work, (B) the servicing of fuel piping, or (C) work associated with pressure regulating devices, except for appliances gas valves. And shall include accessories for use with LP gas supplied by gas containers and/or natural gas. The requirements to qualify for this license shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson and the presentation of a certificate contractor course and examination in “Hearth gas products and examination in State specific Business and law.
HPG-2 JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform only work as limited to “Hearth product work” means the installation, service or repair of a propane or natural gas fired fireplace, fireplace insert, stove or log set and associated venting and piping that simulates a flame of a solid fuel fire and only while in the employ of a licensed contractor. “Gas hearth product work” does not include (A) fuel piping work, (B) the servicing of fuel piping, or (C) work associated with pressure regulating devices, except for appliances gas valves. And shall include accessories for use with LP gas supplied by gas containers and/or natural gas. The requirements to qualify for this license exam shall be the completion of at least five (500) hours of in field experience and factory training and examination in “Hearth gas products administered by this agency.
(a) As used in this section, means (1) any person engaged in the business of construction, structural repair, structural alteration, dismantling or demolition of a structure or addition that exceeds the threshold limits provided in section 29-276b, or (2) any person who, under the direction of a general contractor, performs or offers to perform any work that impacts upon the structural integrity of a structure or addition, including repair, alteration, dismantling or demolition of a structure or addition that exceeds the threshold limits provided in section 29-276b. Such work includes, but is not limited to, roofing, masonry and structural framework.
“Mechanical contractor” means any corporation, association, firm, partnership or other business organization regularly offering to the public the services of its employees licensed to perform plumbing and piping work or heating, piping and cooling work in accordance with the provisions of chapter 393, but does not include (A) any corporation, association, firm, partnership or other business organization which performs such work exclusively on single family or multifamily private residences or dwellings consisting of not more than four units or which employs less than ten persons licensed to perform plumbing and piping work or heating, piping and cooling work in accordance with the provisions of chapter 393, (B) any corporation, association, firm, partnership or other business organization which is engaged in the installation, repair, alteration, or replacement of sewer lines, storm drainage lines or water lines and services, or (C) an individual licensed pursuant to chapter 393; (3) “Plumbing and piping work” has the same meaning as set forth in subdivision (3) of section 20-330; (4) “Heating, piping and cooling work” has the same meaning as set forth in subdivision (5) of section 20-330; and (5) “Apprentice” has the same meaning as set forth in subdivision (6) of section 20-330.
Plumbing Licenses and Scope of Work:
J-1 LIMITED CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to domestic water pumps and water conditioning. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as a journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
J-2 LIMITED WELL PUMPS AND PIPING JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform only work limited to domestic water pumps and water conditioning and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
P-1 UNLIMITED PLUMBING CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may do all plumbing and piping work as defined in section 20-330 of the Connecticut General Statutes. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be two (2) years as an unlimited licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training.
P-2 UNLIMITED JOURNEYPERSON PLUMBER
The holder of this license may do all plumbing and piping work as so defined and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. The requirements to qualify for this license examination shall be the completion of a registered apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training.
P-6 LIMITED SEWER, STORM, AND WATER JOURNEYPERSON
The requirements for examination for this license shall be the completion of a registered one-year apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training. This license permits the installation, repair, replacement, alteration or maintenance of piping limited to water, sewer and storm lines from the point of utility responsibility to a point immediately inside a structure and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work.
P-7 LIMITED SEWER, STORM, AND WATER CONTRACTOR
The requirements for examination for this license shall be two (2) years as a journeyperson or equivalent experience and training. This license permits the installation, repair, replacement, alteration or maintenance of piping limited to water, sewer and storm lines from the point of utility responsibility to a point immediately inside a structure.
P-8 LIMITED GASOLINE TANK, PIPING, AND PUMP JOURNEYPERSON
The requirements for examination for this license shall be one (1) year as a registered apprentice equivalent experience and training. This license permits the installation, repair, replacement, alteration or maintenance of piping for petroleum tanks and related pumping equipment only, and only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work.
P-9 LIMITED GASOLINE TANK, PIPING, AND PUMP CONTRACTOR
The requirements for examination for this license shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyperson or equivalent experience and training. This license permits the installation, repair, replacement, alteration or maintenance of piping for petroleum tanks and related pumping equipment only.
W-8 LIMITED DRAINLAYER JOURNEY PERSON
The holder of this license may perform the following work, but only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, or alteration of piping for storm and/or sanitary lines. This license DOES NOT permit any work on septic tank systems or inside a structure. Requirements for this exam: completion of a bona fide apprenticeship program, including not less than 6 months experience in the trade.
W-9 LIMITED DRAINLAYER CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform the installation, repair, replacement, or alteration of piping for storm and/or sanitary lines. This license DOES NOT permit any work on septic tank systems or inside a structure. Requirements for this exam: 6 months as a Journeyperson.
Well Drilling Licenses and Scope of Work:
W-1 LIMITED WATER WELL CONTRACTOR
This registration permits the registrant to construct a well, including but not limited to, the installation, repair and maintenance of pumps, pump motors, pump piping, valves, wiring, electronic controls and tanks.
W-2 LIMITED WATER WELL JOURNEYPERSON
The requirements for this registration shall be three (3) years as an apprentice driller or possess equivalent experience and training. This registration permits the registrant to construct a well, including but not limited to, the installation, repair and maintenance of pumps, pump motors, pump piping, valves, wiring, electronic controls and tanks only while the registrant is in the direct and regular employment of a contractor registered for such work.
W-3 LIMITED NON-WATER OR MONITORING WELL CONTRACTOR
This registration permits the registrant to construct a well, including but not limited to, the installation, repair and maintenance of pumps, pump motors, pump piping, valves, wiring, electronic controls and tanks.
W-4 LIMITED NON-WATER OR MONITORING WELL JOURNEYPERSON
The requirements for this registration shall be three (3) years as an apprentice driller or possess equivalent experience and training. This registration permits the registrant to construct a well, including but not limited to, the installation, repair and maintenance of pumps, pump motors, pump piping, valves, wiring, electronic controls and tanks only while the registrant is in the direct and regular employment of a contractor registered for such work.
W-5 WELL CASING EXTENSION CONTRACTOR
A Well Casing Extension Contractor license shall permit persons licensed to perform plumbing and piping work pursuant to Chapter 393 to perform well casing extension, repair and maintenance work.
W-6 WELL CASING EXTENSION JOURNEYPERSON
A Well Casing Extension Journeyperson license shall permit persons licensed to perform plumbing and piping work pursuant to Chapter 393 to perform well casing extension, repair and maintenance work while in the employ of a licensed contractor for such work.
For In-Ground pools and spas, SPB type
New installations of below-ground pools and spas must be by a licensed “Swimming Pool Builder” (in-ground pools and spas only and for new installation work only).
For Above-Ground pools and spas, SPG type
New installations of above-ground pools and spas must be by a licensed “Swimming Pool Assembler” (above-ground pools and spas only and for new installation work only).
For Pool and Spa Maintenance & Repair, SP-1 and SP-2 types.
All types of maintenance and repair on any type of pool or spas after installation, inspection and the certificate of use has been issued, must be performed by an SP-1 Contractor with SP-2 journeyperson employees.
A full-service contractor must have a Builder and /or Assembler license type(s) and the SP-1 maintenance and repair license for such pools and spas.

Spa and Pool Trades Licenses and Scope of Work:
SP-1 LIMITED SPA AND POOL CONTRACTOR
The holder of this license may perform swimming pool maintenance and repair work, meaning the performance of all plumbing, heating and electrical work necessary to service, modify or repair any swimming pool, hot tub, spa or similar recreational or therapeutic equipment, where such work commences at an outlet, receptacle, connection, back-flow preventer or fuel supply pipe previously installed by a person holding the proper license. Swimming pool maintenance and repair work includes: (1) The renovation or repair of non potable water components of a pool, hot tub or spa, including, but not limited to, the shell, concrete finish or vinyl liner of such pool, hot tub or spa; and (2) the draining, acid washing or backwash filtration of a swimming pool. The renovation or repair of non potable water components of a pool, hot tub or spa required to be installed, renovated or repaired by a licensed plumber or electrician shall not be considered swimming pool maintenance and repair work. The holder of a limited license for swimming pool maintenance and repair work issued pursuant to this section shall not be subject to the provisions of chapter 400, provided such license holder is acting within the scope of the license. The requirements to qualify for this license exam shall be two (2) years as a properly licensed journeyman or equivalent experience and training. Including the required proof of having obtained the Tech 2 certification or the Certified Service Technician certificate from the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals or have equivalent courses.
SP-2 LIMITED SPA AND POOL JOURNEYPERSON
The holder of this license may perform all swimming pool maintenance and repair work only while the licensee is in the employ of a SP-1 contractor licensed for such work. The requirements to qualify for this license exam shall be the completion of a bona fide apprenticeship program or equivalent experience and training of not less than 1 year and having obtained the Tech 2 certification or the Certified Service Technician certificate from the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals or have equivalent courses.
Sec. 20-332-6a. Licenses issued by the state board of fire protection sprinkler systems work
(a) Unlimited fire protection sprinkler contractor’s license (F-1).
The holder of this license may do all fire protection sprinkler system work as defined in section 20-330 of the Connecticut General Statutes. A person must have served at least two years as an F-2 journeyperson or have equivalent experience to qualify for the F-1 examination.
(b) Unlimited fire protection sprinkler journeyperson’s license (F-2).
The holder of this license may do all fire protection sprinkler system work as defined in section 20-330 of the Connecticut General Statutes, but only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. A person must have completed a 4-year fire protection sprinkler apprentice program or have equivalent experience to qualify for the F-2 examination.
(c) Limited fire protection contractor’s license (F-3). The holder of this license may do such work as that work involved with foam extinguishing systems, special hazard systems including water spray, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical systems, halon and other liquid or gas fire suppression systems. A person must have served at least two years as an F-4 journeyperson or have equivalent experience to qualify for the F-3 examination.
(d) Limited fire protection journeyperson’s license (F-4).
The holder of this license may do such work as that work involved with foam extinguishing systems, special hazard systems including water spray, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical systems, halon and other liquid or gas fire suppression systems but only while in the employ of a contractor licensed for such work. A person must have completed a 3-year fire protection non-sprinkler apprenticeship program or have equivalent experience to qualify for the F-4 examination.
